Rita is portuguese,  married, and mother of three kids. She began her career as a Civil Engineer and worked in the field for nine years. In 2012, for professional reasons, she left Portugal with her family and has since lived in Belgium and the United States, currently residing in São Paulo, Brazil. She has always been passionate about Art and, for this reason, in 2015 she decided to change the direction of her professional life. She chose to return to her studies, beginning her education in Art in Houston, Texas (United States), followed by a Master’s degree in Painting in Liège, Belgium. She is currently developing her PhD thesis in Fine Arts (painting field) at Fine Arts University of Lisbon, Portugal, and, in parallel, teaches Art to children and organizes artistic workshops and team-building activities for adults in São Paulo.
